Art > SPINE

My younger brother Jay is a quadriplegic as a result of a rock climbing accident in 2005.
At the time "Spine Book" was created, Jay was finally home from the hospital. His injury still felt piercing and uncomfortable to me but he was busy sending flutters of hope and gratitude out into the universe. "Don't cry for me. Cheer for me!", he always tells people. In "Spine Book", the hinges are piercing but the vertebrae are made out of light weight, fluttering, kozo paper. Each vertebrae features a positive note from him.
